S.A.L.T.S. Sailing Trip

Last year I had the pleasure of going on a sailing trip with my selected people from my grade 9 class. It was called S.A.L.T.S. which stands for Sailing And Life Training Society. It was an extremely fun trip, one of the best things I did last year in school. The trip costed $650 and I know that sounds like a lot but it included everything, airfare to Victoria, bus rides, the trip on the boat itself, food, supervision and lessons on how to sail. I must admit that while I was on the boat the food was not that great, actually it sucked. The cook was Vegetarian so we had little meat and the meat we did eat was a bit OVERDONE I guess you could say. I will explain that a bit later in my journal from the trip. Anyway on the trip we learned how to drive the boat, put up the sails, navigate, launch the Dorries (small boats) how to use the Head (washroom) and how to live with 15 people in a very small room. We got to stop at random islands and go exploring on them at different times of the day so we could see the animals that were out when the tide was down. We also played games in fields during out time off duty. It was cool, and we got to take lots of pictures.
